A big name at Fox News picked this fight with CNN over voter fraud in the 2020 election

Fox News and CNN have a rivalry.

It just got kicked to another level.

And that’s because a big name at Fox News picked this fight with CNN over voter fraud in the 2020 election.

CNN’s Jake Tapper refuses to book Republicans on his show that objected to the outcome of the 2020 election.

In an interview with POLITICO Playbook Tapper explained his reasoning, claiming that if Republicans “lied” about the 2020 election he could not trust them to tell the truth about anything.

Tapper regularly books Nancy Pelosi – who said the Russians “hijacked” the 2016 election – as well as Stacey Abrams – who claimed the 2018 Georgia gubernatorial election was stolen from her – so this stance seems highly partisan.

Playbook asked Fox News Sunday’s liberal host Chris Wallace about Tapper’s stance and Wallace called banning Republicans from your show over questions about the 2020 election “moral posturing.”

“I don’t think moral posturing goes well with news gathering,” Wallace told us in a statement, adding: “There are plenty of people I would like to have on Fox News Sunday that voted to challenge the election — House Republican leader Kevin McCarthy for one. And I don’t have any rule about what the first question has to be. I have asked plenty of guests about voting to challenge the election and about Trump’s role in the January 6th insurrection. But I cover the news, wherever that takes me,” Wallace told Playbook.

Tapper responded to Wallace by claiming that objecting to the 2020 election was an attack on democracy.

There was no mention of the fact that Democrats objected to the outcomes of the 2000, 2004 and 2016 elections when Republicans won.

“This isn’t a policy, it’s a discussion I think everyone in the news media should be having. Should those who shared the election lie that incited the deadly attack on the Capitol and that continues to erode confidence in our democracy be invited onto our airwaves to continue to spread the Big Lie? Can our viewers count on these politicians to tell the truth about other topics? This isn’t an easy conversation for some folks – especially for journalists who work for organizations where the Big Lie was platformed – but that’s all the more reason to have this conversation,” Tapper snapped.

Tapper didn’t limit his attacks to Wallace alone and also took a swipe at Fox because the network supposedly “platformed the lie”.

That struck many Americans as rich considering how much airtime Tapper and other CNN hosts provided California Congressman Adam Schiff who would routinely lie about having evidence the Trump Campaign colluded with the Russians.
