The rubber is starting to meet the road in the Democrat Party’s criminal persecution of Donald Trump.

Democrats aren’t so smug anymore.

And a Democrat prosecutor made this unbelievable confession about Trump in court.

Joe Biden prosecutor Jack Smith filed a motion in Washington, D.C. federal court opposing a request by media outlets to televise his trial of Donald Trump for contesting the results of the 2020 election.

On the surface, nothing seemed amiss as Smith claimed banning cameras from the courtroom would be in keeping with the Judicial Conferences ban on televised federal trials.

“The taking of photographs and operation of tape recorders inside the United States Courthouse and radio or television broadcasting from inside the courthouse during the progress of or in connection with judicial proceedings, including proceedings before a United States Magistrate Judge, whether or not the court is actually in session, is prohibited. A judge may, however, permit (1) the use of electronic or photographic means for the presentation of evidence or the perpetuation of a record, and (2) the broadcasting, televising, recording, or photographing of investiture, ceremonial, or naturalization proceedings. Contents of official tapes that are made as part of the record in a case will be treated in the same manner as official stenographic note,” Smith’s motion read.

“While Applicants are free to advocate their views to policymakers, 6 this Court should decline their invitation to ignore the binding nature of Federal Rule of Criminal Procedure 53. Accordingly, the Applications should be denied,” Smith added.

But beneath the surface, it was clear there is more going on than meets the eye.

Donald Trump’s poll numbers against both his GOP rivals and Joe Biden went up after Democrats decided the weaponized justice system was their best chance of keeping Donald Trump out of the White House.

Smith doesn’t want cameras in the courtroom for his trial of Trump because Democrats are afraid of what would happen if the American people got to see what was happening with their own eyes.

In this case, a Democrat prosecutor will use a novel legal theory he bent the law to concoct – there is no law on the books explicitly saying anything Trump did in contesting the election is illegal – in front of a biased Democrat judge and have an all-Democrat jury render a predetermined guilty verdict.

This is the definition of a rigged system.

And Smith and his fellow Democrats are worried that cameras in the courtroom will only serve as a political boon to Trump and the public will also put the weaponized justice system Joe Biden unleashed on his chief political rival on trial.
