Joe Biden continues to find new ways to stumble out of the gate.
This time Democrats are in trouble.
And a judge handed Joe Biden a huge setback that has Democrats fearing the worst.
Joe Biden once criticized President Trump claiming only a dictator rules by executive order.
In Biden’s first six days in office, Biden signed a record 33 executive orders.
Now the courts are pushing back.
The state of Texas just blocked Biden’s 100 day pause on nearly 90 percent of deportations of illegal aliens after a Texas District Court Judge ruled Biden’s order did not adequately lay out the rationale for why 100 days was the appropriate time frame to pause deportations.
In the ruling, the Judge also wrote that the Biden administration did not take into account the financial burden imposed on the state of Texas by forcing the state to provide government services to illegal aliens that otherwise would have been deported.
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton cheered the victory, which slammed the breaks on Biden’s open borders agenda for 14-days until the judge could hear arguments on a temporary restraining order.
“VICTORY. Texas is the FIRST state in the nation to bring a lawsuit against the Biden Admin. AND WE WON. Within 6 days of Biden’s inauguration, Texas has HALTED his illegal deportation freeze. *This* was a seditious left-wing insurrection. And my team and I stopped it,” Attorney General Paxton wrote on social media.
In the Trump years, Democrats would often find a friendly District Court judge in California, Washington, or Hawaii to issue a nationwide injunction blocking Trump initiatives.
That would throw sand in the gears of the Trump agenda as it took months for the administration to work its appeal up to the Supreme Court.
Republican state Attorneys General decided turnabout is fair play and red states like Texas will take the lead in filing legal challenges to Joe Biden’s unconstitutional executive orders.
