A major ally made a one-word confession about Joe Biden that you won’t believe

The walls are closing in on Joe Biden.

Democrats are in no mood to provide political cover.

And now this major ally made a one-word confession about Joe Biden that you won’t believe.

Top Democrats are scrambling to put distance between themselves and Joe Biden over the stolen classified documents scandal.

The latest example was Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin (D-IL).

Even though there is no Senate seat safer in America than a Democrat from Illinois, Durbin called Biden stealing classified documents “unacceptable” in an interview with CNN State of the Union host Dana Bash.

“There’s a standard we follow when it comes to members of Congress and classified information,” Durbin said. “The door to my office is closed. The person that presents the document to me takes it out of a locked briefcase, hands it to me and watches as I read it. When I finish reading it, he takes it back, puts it in the briefcase and leaves the scene. That’s how carefully we review these documents. To think that any of them ended up in boxes in storage one place or the other is just unacceptable,” Durbin declared.

Bash wondered if Biden lost the ability to use the witch hunt over the Mar-a-Lago raid to throw Trump in jail and stop him from running for President in 2024.

“Do you fear that because of that, the current President has kind of lost the high ground on this notion of classified information being where it shouldn’t be?” Bash asked.

In a surprising moment, Durbin agreed.

“Well, of course,” Durbin stated. “Let’s be honest about it. When the information is found, it diminishes the stature of any person who is in possession of it. Because it’s not supposed to happen. Whether it was the fault of a staffer or attorney, it makes no difference. The elected official bears ultimate responsibility.”

One of the major developments surrounding the stolen classified documents scandal is how little Democrats have an appetite to defend Joe Biden.

Dick Durbin is the number- two Democrat in the U.S. Senate.

Normally, one would expect Durbin to defend Biden, especially since Biden says he plans to run for a second term.

But Biden wanting to run for a second term may explain why Democrats like Durbin are looking for any excuse to throw him overboard.

Biden’s approval rating is still stuck in the low 40s.

The economy is looking like it’s heading into a major recession.

Both of those indicators mean Biden is likely to lose re-election.

And Democrats think the stolen classified documents scandal is their chance to reshuffle the deck.
