A jury in Minneapolis convicted Officer Derek Chauvin in the death of George Floyd.
And then all hell broke loose.
This popular Fox News host had an insane reaction to the Derek Chauvin verdict.
The jury’s verdict that Officer Chauvin was guilty of second and third degree murder as well as manslaughter in the death of George Floyd was not surprising.
Democrats like Joe Biden and Maxine Waters threatened riots if the jury acquitted Chauvin.
The entire media cheered the verdict.
But Fox News host Greg Gutfeld celebrated the verdict, but for a different reason.
Gutfeld claimed he was relieved the jury convicted Chauvin because it would prevent Black Lives Matter riots in cities across America.
Greg Gutfeld: "I'm glad [Chauvin] was found guilty on all charges, even if he might not be guilty of all charges. I am glad that he is guilty of all charges because I want a verdict that keeps this country from going up in flames." (Note the groans from his Fox News colleagues.) pic.twitter.com/DulsFEMwcO

Later that night, Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens questioned the verdict because they believed the jury felt threatened by violence.
The judge presiding over the case even told the defense that Maxine Waters’ call for confrontation in the streets likely provided grounds to overturn a conviction on appeal.
But viewers were surprised to see a Fox News host adopt this line of thinking that even if you did not think Chauvin was guilty of all the charges against him, a conviction was a good outcome because it prevented riots.
Mob justice is not justice. It’s anarchy.
