A top economic advisor for Obama just accused Joe Biden of ignoring the one issue that could cost Democrats everything in 2022

With the midterm election less than a year out, Joe Biden’s approval ratings are tanking.

This has Democrats worried.

And a top economic advisor for Bill Clinton and Barack Obama just accused Joe Biden of ignoring the one issue that could cost Democrats everything in 2022.

Democrats are defending razor-thin majorities in both the House and Senate in the upcoming 2022 midterm elections.

Republicans only need to flip five seats to take back the U.S. House and one seat to take back control of the Senate.

This gives Democrats little to no room for making mistakes.

And right now, it’s not looking good for the Democrats.

Historically, the President’s approval rating serves as the best indicator of how a party will perform in midterm elections.

After a long string of failures, Joe Biden’s approval ratings are underwater.

But according to Larry Summers, who served as Treasury Secretary under former President Bill Clinton and as Director of the National Economic Council under former President Barack Obama, Joe Biden’s poll numbers will continue falling unless he begins to take the issue of inflation seriously.

During an interview with CNN’s Brianna Keilar, Summers sounded the alarm about the economy, particularly around the issue of skyrocketing inflation.

“I think we do need to recognize, as people are starting to, that inflation is a serious problem,” said Summers.

“I think the Fed is still not fully recognizing the gravity of the situation,” he added.

Summers is correct about inflation.

Skyrocketing prices on everything from groceries to gasoline has a lot of Americans struggling to make ends meet.

But Joe Biden seems more concerned with forcing every eligible man, woman, and child in America to get fully vaccinated for the coronavirus than about fixing our struggling economy.

And as inflation continues to skyrocket, Joe Biden’s approval ratings will only drop even further.
