There is chatter floating around the media that New York Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez should run for President in 2024.
Democrats are going to need a candidate.
But one top Fox News star said Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez must do these two things to run for President.
On Wednesday’s episode of Fox News Channel’s The Five, co-hosts Greg Gutfeld and Jesse Watters discussed Ocasio-Cortez’s prospects in 2024.
Gutfeld acknowledged that Ocasio-Cortez had skills, such as charisma and social media savvy, that could make her a formidable candidate.
But Gutfeld also stated that Ocasio-Cortez would go down in flames because she doesn’t know anything.
“I can say that AOC has a skillset,” Gutfeld said. “But she’s missing things, like knowledge.”
Watters agreed, saying it just wasn’t Ocasio-Cortez’s time to run for President because she has to get married first.
“That’s AOC,” Watters stated. “She’s not ripe enough to run for President. First, she has to get married.”
A confused Gutfeld asked what Watters meant.
Watters then referenced Ocasio-Cortez’s engagement, saying it was too much to plan a wedding and run for President at the same time.
“She has to plan a wedding,” Watters added. “You want to plan a wedding and run for President at the same time?”
“No, no, no, this is how it goes,” Watters continued. “Just follow me, Greg.”
“I’m not following you,” Gutfeld responded.
Watters then stated that pregnancy and children followed marriage.
Raising children – Watters explained – causes people to mature.
Watters concluded by saying that once Ocasio-Cortez gets married and begins to raise a family, she should run for Senate in New York in 2024 and then later on mount a Presidential campaign.
“Once you get married, then you get pregnant,” Watters added. “And then once you have the baby, you have a family and the media loves it. They eat it up. And it makes you more of a mature person. That’s why you’re so immature. You don’t have any kids. So then after she has the family, then she runs for the Senate.”
There is no question that Ocasio-Cortez will one day run for the Senate and then the Presidency.
Ocasio-Cortez herself stated she does not intend to spend her entire political career in the House of Representatives.
The only question is when Ocasio-Cortez will make the jump to higher office.
