A top Joe Biden ally got some bad news about a criminal investigation

A growing scandal threatens one of the biggest names in the Democrat Party.

But it’s not just a political problem.

Now this top Joe Biden ally got some bad news about a criminal investigation.

New York State Attorney General Letitia James opened an investigation into whether or not Governor Andrew Cuomo broke state law by using his staff and state resources to write his now embarrassing book American Crisis, which praised his leadership during the pandemic.

The New York Times

The New York State attorney general has opened an investigation into Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo’s use of state resources as he wrote and promoted his recent pandemic memoir, the latest inquiry to engulf the embattled three-term Democrat.

The investigation followed disclosures that junior staff members and senior aides worked on Mr. Cuomo’s book, “American Crisis: Leadership Lessons from the Covid-19 Pandemic,” including editing early drafts, sitting in on pitch meetings, and menial tasks like printing and delivering manuscript pages to the governor’s mansion.

It turned out Cuomo is also under investigation for his disastrous decision to force nursing homes to take in coronavirus patients and then covering up the true death toll that resulted from that catastrophic blunder.

Cuomo is now facing four separate investigations into allegations of sexual assault and sexual harassment as well as his bungling of the coronavirus outbreak and subsequent cover up.

One year ago at this time there were rumors floating around that Democrats wanted to swap out Joe Biden for Andrew Cuomo as their candidate in the 2020 election.

But now it looks like the best case scenario for Andrew Cuomo is announcing he won’t run for a fourth term as Governor in 2022 in exchange for the investigations into his conduct going away.

The alternative could be criminal charges.
