Donald Trump opened the UFO files.
A government intelligence officer just told America who personally ran the program that held living aliens in US custody.
And the biggest name in the story is the man who spent eight years running America from the shadows.
What Grusch Told Dr. Phil
David Grusch is not a conspiracy theorist on YouTube.
He is a former Air Force intelligence officer who testified before Congress in 2023 under oath about secret UFO crash-retrieval programs, served as the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency's co-lead for UAP analysis, and helped draft the National Defense Authorization Act.
This week, on The Dr. Phil Podcast, he said he knows people who had direct interactions with live alien beings in what he described as a "detainment situation."
"I know people who had direct interactions in a detainment situation, which sounds very Star Trek and sounds very crazy, but it is true," Grusch said.

He then named who was running it.
"I spoke to a former cabinet member who directly worked on the issue for a particular former vice president," Grusch said. "You can guess which one. Darth Vader."
Darth Vader – the nickname Dick Cheney himself leaned into publicly, proudly displaying a trailer hitch modeled after the villain and joking in 2007 that being called Darth Vader was "one of the nicer things I've been called recently."
Cheney died November 3, 2025, at 84.
They Were Talking to Them
The aliens were not simply caged.
They were talked to.
"It is true that it is some sort of consciousness communication," Grusch said. "Of course, people call it telepathy. I cannot begin to tell you how it works. But there is some sort of communication like that."
Grusch estimates the US government holds between 25 and 100 recovered craft – and says some of the occupants recovered alive match the classic description of small gray humanoid beings.
He says he has personally seen photographs and video of dead occupants, and that he knows the locations of facilities authorized investigators could physically walk into and inspect today.

Trump directed the release of government UFO files in February 2026 through a program called PURSUE – the Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters.
Dr. Phil, who serves on the administration's Religious Liberty Committee, was recruited by the White House to privately review the files before public release – to gauge how Americans would react to learning humans are "somewhere different in the food chain."
"I think the reason they're giving me access to this is because they want me doing exactly what I'm doing," Dr. Phil told NewsNation in July. "They're not scripting me. They're not telling me what to say and not say."
The administration has since released four tranches of UAP materials through PURSUE, drawing from agency archives at the Pentagon, NASA, and CIA dating to 1944.
Dr. Phil is the conduit the White House chose to prepare the public for what comes next.
The Scope of the Coverup
Cheney ran the most powerful vice presidential office in American history – more powerful than most presidents – and did it through secrecy, classified access, and direct control over the machinery of national security.
The man who put detainees in black sites, who built the surveillance apparatus that still exists today, who told NBC News in September 2001 that America would have to cross over to "the dark side" to stay safe – that man was also, according to Grusch's source, managing the government's relationship with non-human beings in American custody.

That is not a coincidence of personality.
That is exactly the kind of operation Cheney spent 50 years building the infrastructure to run.
Trump is the first president to break the seal on this systematically.
The question is no longer whether something was hidden.
The question is what's still in those facilities – and who's been managing it since Darth Vader left.
