Adam Schiff’s impeachment witch hunt just suffered another massive setback.
Democrats have suffered a series of body blows that blunted any chance of turning the public against President Trump.
And now Adam Schiff got caught in this lawsuit that could destroy impeachment.
Adam Schiff is known as one of the most prolific leakers in all of Congress.
But his habit of spoon feeding fake news reporters selective leaks to try and destroy President Trump just came back to bite him.
National Security Council official Kash Patel filed a 25 million dollar defamation lawsuit against Politico, its publisher Robert Allbritton, and reporter Natasha Betrand for acting in concert with Schiff to publish false stories about his communications with President Trump regarding Ukraine.
House Intelligence Committee chairman Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) “acted in concert” with Politico to leak allegedly false information from the impeachment inquiry as part of a “scheme” to advance the “inquisition” against President Donald Trump, according to an explosive defamation lawsuit filed by a senior Trump White House official on Monday.
White House official Kash Patel, who is a senior counterterrorism official on the National Security Council (NSC), filed the lawsuit in Virginia court in which he says Schiff “weaponized the media” to advance his impeachment agenda.
Patel is a former staffer to the top Republican on the House Intelligence Committee, Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA), who later moved to the White House in the NSC to advise the president on national security and intelligence matters.
Patel on Monday filed the defamation suit in Virginia state court against Politico, Natasha Bertrand, a reporter for the establishment media outlet, and Robert Allbritton, the publisher and executive chairman of the media organization, all identified as defendants.
Patel alleges that Bertrand and Politico published knowingly false leaks from Schiff based on lies told by Fiona Hill and Lt. Colonel Alexander Vindman during their testimony in closed door depositions.
Hill and Vindman lied about Patel holding secret meetings with President Trump and passed him documents on Ukraine.
These claims were false.
But Politico published them anyways knowing full well Schiff was a biased source with a deep hatred for President Trump.
