Florida Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna wants to hold Adam Schiff accountable for spreading The Big Lie about the Trump campaign colluding with the Russians.
For years Schiff paraded around cable news claiming to have evidence that Trump colluded with the Russians to steal the 2016 election from Hillary Clinton.
John Durham’s report showing the FBI had no basis to open up the Russian investigation put to bed this deranged conspiracy theory once and for all.
Luna announced she was introducing a privileged resolution to censure Schiff and fine Schiff $16 million – half the cost of the Mueller probe – over Schiff promoting a hoax to try and overthrow Trump’s Presidency.
“I just filed a privileged resolution, H. Res. 437, to censure, condemn, & fine Rep. Adam Schiff $16 million (1/2 the cost of Russia investigation) for his egregious abuse of trust. I, with my GOP colleagues, look forward to an imminent vote to hold this feckless man accountable,” Luna wrote on Twitter.
This is the second shot Luna fired across Schiff’s bow.
After Durham released his report, Luna introduced a resolution to expel Schiff from Congress for lying to the American people about Trump colluding with the Russians.
“Adam Schiff lied to the American people,” Luna wrote on Twitter. “He used his position on House Intelligence to push a lie that cost American taxpayers millions of dollars and abused the trust placed in him as Chairman.
“He is a dishonor to the House of Representatives. The Durham Report makes clear that the Russian Collusion was a lie from day one and Schiff knowingly used his position in an attempt to divide our country,” Luna continued.
To date, no one has been held accountable either criminally or in civil court for the Russian collusion.
The idea that Trump colluded with the Russians was one of the most poisonous conspiracy theories in American history.
Schiff and other Democrats promoting this hoax gave permission to the media and Deep State to undermine the legitimacy of Trump’s Presidency, which only served to polarize American politics.
