Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez just destroyed Democrats chances in this key swing state

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez did it again.

The controversial Democrats created another political headache for Joe Biden.

And Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez just destroyed Democrats’ chances in this key swing state.

Thousands of Cubans are gathering in the streets to protest Cuba’s Marxist government and demand freedom after 62 years of Communist oppression.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez remained silent for days during these protests.

But Ocasio-Cortez finally put out a statement on the Cuban people’s call for freedom.

It was a political disaster.

Ocasio-Cortez claimed to support the protests and condemned the Cuban government for disappearing protesters and turning off the island’s internet.

“We are seeing Cubans rise up and protest for their rights like never before. We stand in solidarity with them, and we condemn the anti-democratic actions led by President Diaz-Canel,” Ocasio-Cortez began.

But Ocasio-Cortez blamed the squalid economic conditions in Cuba on the embargo that Donald Trump reinstated.

“We also must name the U.S. contribution to Cuban suffering: our sixty-year-old embargo,” Ocasio-Cortez added.

Ocasio-Cortez also demanded the Biden administration lift the embargo.

“The embargo is absurdly cruel and, like too many other U.S. policies targeting Latin Americans, the cruelty is the point,” Ocasio-Cortez added. “I outright reject the Biden administration’s defense of the embargo. It is never acceptable for us to use cruelty as a point of leverage against everyday people.”

Like Joe Biden’s initial statement, Ocasio-Cortez never condemned socialism or Marxism.

Ocasio-Cortez refuses to admit that socialism and Marxism failed the Cuban people because it would be admitting her entire ideology is a failure.

But by blaming Trump’s embargo of Cuba Ocasio-Cortez is pushing Florida farther out of reach for Democrats.

In 2020, Donald Trump won Florida by the biggest margin of any candidate since 2004.

Donald Trump ran up massive numbers in South Florida in large part because Cubans supported Trump’s tough line on the Communist government after Barack Obama appeased the Castro government.

Democrats refusal to condemn socialism or Marxism could now put Florida permanently out of reach.
