Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez revealed one ugly truth that could destroy her

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez got some bad news.

Her career trajectory just hit its first major stumbling block.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez revealed one ugly truth that could destroy her.

Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats muscled through a $1.9 billion bill to add fencing to the Capitol and to create a “rapid reaction force” to intimidate and crush protestors opposed to Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, and Chuck Schumer.

Republicans voted in lockstep against this bill to turn the Capitol into a dystopian police state.

Three Democrats – “Squad” members Ilhan Omar, Ayanna Pressley, and Cori Bush – did as well.

But the legislation passed on a 213-212 vote because Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez voted present.

Investigative journalist Glen Greenwald tore into Ocasio-Cortez ripping her as a fraud.

Greenwald wrote:

When she invokes this mantra: “Defunding police means defunding police,” she said. The Congresswoman was criticizing cuts to New York City’s police budget as insufficient and the byproduct of accounting tricks rather than real defunding efforts.

And yet, what do we have today? When it comes to their own security, these three Squad members are evidently eager for close to $2 billion to be spent in additional funds to increase the police presence around them and fortify the armed guards and other security state mechanisms that protect them. This is always a key point of “Defund the Police” campaigns.

Ocasio-Cortez is one of the biggest fundraisers in Congress because millions of grassroots Democrats believe she is a revolutionary willing to stand up to party leadership.

But when it came down to it on a key vote, Ocasio-Cortez threw away what she believed in to help Nancy Pelosi score a “W.”

Authentic liberals like Glenn Greenwald – who regularly appears on Fox News because he does not care which political party his journalism helps – is willing to call out Ocasio-Cortez for the false narrative she promotes about herself.
