Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez told a huge lie about January 6 that will leave you speechless

The Left cannot move beyond January 6.

January 6 and the events of that day are now at the center of the Democrats’ 2022 Midterm election message.

And now Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez told a huge lie about January 6 that will leave you speechless.

The polls show large majorities of the American people disapprove of Joe Biden’s handling of the border, the economy, inflation, and crime.

Polls show those are the main issues voters would like to see addressed.

That’s why a recent NBC poll found Republicans holding a 17-point lead over Democrats on the question of which Party’s voters are more enthusiastic about the upcoming Midterm elections.

The last card Democrats have in the deck is whipping up fear among their own base about what a Republican-run Congress would look like.

New York Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez stuck to that script in a town hall meeting with voters in her district.

Ocasio-Cortez hysterically ranted that January 6 was just a warm up act, and that if Republicans took over one or both houses of Congress, they could execute a coup in 2024.

“This is no joke,” Ocasio-Cortez warned. “Jan. 6 was a trial run, and a lot of people don’t seem to understand that. It was a trial run.”

“They’re going to come back,” Ocasio-Cortez continued.

Ocasio-Cortez then falsely claimed a Republican majority in the House of Representatives could overturn the results of the 2024 election on their own.

Finally, Ocasio-Cortez falsely claimed that the only reason Donald Trump didn’t succeed in rejecting certified Electoral College results was because Democrats controlled the House of Representatives.

“And if [Republicans] take the House, then they have the votes to not authorize and legitimize the Presidential election,” Ocasio-Cortez stated. “The only reason it wasn’t worse was because Democrats had the House, and [Republicans] didn’t have the votes in the House.”

This is not true.

Senators must join with members of the House of Representatives to sustain an objection to Electoral College results.

The Senate, which was still under GOP control at the time, voted 92-8 to reject challenges to election results.

Democrats do not have a positive agenda to campaign on.

The Real Clear Politics polling average shows just 28 percent of Americans think the country is on the right track.

That is a recipe for a change election.

And given that reality, Democrats think their only chance to hang on to power is through a campaign of fear.
