Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez became a political celebrity through her relationship with the media.
But no one ever thought she would bite the hand that feeds her.
And Ocasio-Cortez turned on CNN for this shocking reason.
A meltdown occurred on the Left when CNN made the surprising decision to host a town hall with former President Donald Trump.
CNN is struggling in the ratings as the network tries to find its footing under new ownership.
The Trump Presidency established CNN as the chief competitor to MSNBC for left-wing news audiences and the network’s ratings have plummeted since Trump left office.
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) is a regular guest on CNN and the network helped to fuel her rise to political fame.
But she turned on CNN in vicious fashion after they made the decision to host a town hall with Trump.
“CNN should be ashamed of themselves,” Ocasio-Cortez raged on social media. “They have lost total control of this ‘town hall’ to again be manipulated into platforming election disinformation, defenses of Jan 6th, and a public attack on a sexual abuse victim.”
The town hall was the first Trump event on CNN since the 2016 campaign and it came one day after the former President was found not liable for rape in the politically-motivated lawsuit by writer E. Jean Carroll.
Trump, who frequently battled CNN during his Presidency, was in rare form during his town hall with the network.
During back and forth with moderator Kaitlin Collins over the raid on Mar-a-Lago, Trump dropped the hammer on her.
“You’re a nasty person, I’ll tell ya,” Trump said, which led to cheers from the audience.
Naturally, this didn’t sit well with the socialist Congresswoman from New York.
“The audience is cheering him on and laughing at the host,” Ocasio-Cortez fumed.
CNN should be ashamed of themselves.

Ocasio-Cortez finally had enough of CNN after years of free publicity from the struggling cable news network.
“This falls squarely on CNN,” Ocasio-Cortez said. “Everyone here saw exactly what was going to happen. Instead they put a sexual abuse victim in harm’s way for views. This was a choice to platform lies about the election & Jan 6th w/ no plan but to have their moderator interrupted without consequence.”

Ocasio-Cortez was outraged that CNN actually gave equal time to Trump after the network spent years attacking him to boost their ratings with the Left.
She was joined by CNN employees who turned on their employer for the Trump event.
“CNN and new network boss Chris Licht are facing a fury of criticism — both internally and externally over the event,” CNN’s media reporter Oliver Darcy said.
Enraged Democrats called on CNN to face a boycott for the event.
CNN now has a revolt on its hand from its dwindling left-wing audience after the network tried to turn around its ratings by hosting Trump.
