All hell broke loose when Joe Biden said this one stunning word

Joe Biden created another foreign policy crisis.

Another trip abroad turned into a disaster.

And all hell broke loose when Joe Biden said this one stunning word.

In a joint press conference with the Prime Minister of Japan, Joe Biden declared that the United States would intervene militarily if the Communist Chinese attempted to invade Taiwan.

“You didn’t want to get involved in the Ukraine conflict militarily for obvious reasons,” a reporter asked Biden. “Are you willing to get involved militarily to defend Taiwan if it comes to that?”

“Yes,” Biden shot back.

The reporter followed up by saying that Biden’s comment was a massive departure from the long-held position of strategic ambiguity in terms of how America would respond to a Communist Chinese attack on Taiwan.

“You are?” the reporter asked.

“That’s the commitment we made,” Biden responded.

This is now the third time Biden has stated that America will fight a war with China over Taiwan.

Like the previous two occasions, Joe Biden’s handlers attempted to claim the President of the United States did not say what he clearly said.

“As the President said, our policy has not changed,” a White House statement read. “He reiterated our One China Policy and our commitment to peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait. He also reiterated our commitment under the Taiwan Relations Act to provide Taiwan with the military means to defend itself.”

This attempted walk back did not fly.

Political commentator Hugh Hewitt wrote that this was no mere gaffe.

Joe Biden pledged America’s commitment to fighting a war with Communist China while standing next to a foreign head of state.

Hewitt added that if Biden’s handlers attempted to walk back his pledge to intervene militarily if the Communist Chinese attacked Taiwan, then it raised real questions about if Biden was really in charge of his own administration.
