Barack Obama and the Democrats smell opportunity and they’re doubling-down.
Rather than try to simmer down the racial tensions in America, Barack Obama wants to throw gasoline on the fire.
And Obama filmed one video about the riots that was the last thing America needed to hear.
Former President Obama filmed another video commencement speech to the class of 2020.
And once again, Obama used the speech to encourage more activism from young Americans.
“Hope is not a lottery ticket,” Obama told the class of 2020. “It’s a hammer for us to use in a national emergency, to break the glass, sound the alarm, and sprint into action. That’s what hope is.”
Obama praised the riots in the streets of America as a necessary reaction to the supposedly “systemic racism” that polluted the United States.
“[T]he protests in response to the killing of George Floyd, and Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery, and Nina Pop aren’t simply a reaction to those particular tragedies, as heartbreaking as they are,” Obama added.“They speak to decades worth of anguish and frustration over unequal treatment and a failure to reform police practices and the broader criminal justice system.”
Obama claimed that the protests and riots were part of a necessary change because America was an evil, racist, and bigoted country that the Left needed to remake.
“The challenges we face go beyond a virus,” former President Obama continued. “The old normal wasn’t good enough. It wasn’t working that well.”
America needs voices of calm that are conveying an accurate and truthful appraisal of the state of affairs in the country.
In 2019, police killed nine unarmed black men and 19 unarmed white men.
By comparison 48 police officers were killed in the line of duty.
Police are not an extrajudicial corrupt killing squad that targets black men because of racism.
But Barack Obama and the Democrats are feeding this false narrative everywhere they can because they think it helps them politically.
