Barack Obama told one lie about the Republican Party that instantly backfired

Barack Obama is still on a media tour promoting his book.

Obama feels now that the election is over he can take on more a political leadership role in the Democrat Party.

And Barack Obama told one lie about the Republican Party that instantly backfired.

Appearing on The Daily Show, Barack Obama falsely claimed that the GOP is the minority party in America.

“In fact, the Republican Party is the minority party in this country. The only reason that it doesn’t look like the minority party is because of structures like the U.S. Senate and the Electoral College that don’t render them the minority party. So they have certain built-in advantages around power given their population distribution and how our government works. But the truth of the matter is that 60 percent of the people are occupying what I would consider a more reality-based universe, and those are the constituents we’re speaking to, and that is a more diverse group,” Obama declared.

In point of fact the Republican Party won 8 of the last 14 Presidential elections.

Since 1994, the GOP controlled the House of Representatives for 20 of 26 years.

Republicans held a Senate majority for 15 of 26 years.

The GOP currently holds 27 Governors mansions and 29 state legislatures.

After the 2020 election, the Republican Party holds unified control of the state house and governor’s mansion in 23 states, up from 21 before the election.

This is not the standing of a “minority party.”

Obama is just trying to defect from the fact that this Republican dominance at the state level was the backlash to Obama’s Presidency.

During Obama’s eight years in office, Democrats lost 1,000 seats in Congress and state houses across the country.

Instead of confronting the fact that Americans elected Republicans up and down the ballot in reaction to Obama’s socialist agenda, Obama is now claiming the Senate and Electoral College are now somehow rigged against the Democrats to keep Republicans in power.
