The NFL spent 2021 threatening players who refused the COVID vaccine.
Now two of the most recognizable quarterbacks of their generation are saying the same thing out loud.
Cam Newton just told you what Aaron Rodgers already knew – and neither one is backing down.
What Newton Said That the NFL Can't Ignore
Newton dropped the admission on his 4th & 1 podcast Monday, and he didn't dress it up.
"If we're being honest," Newton said, "going back to 2020, there were multiple players, coaches, and executives that fraudulently got their COVID shot. Yes, I said it."
He went further.
Newton said he personally knew players in his own locker room who never got the shot – but paid for a card that said they did.
"You're like, Cam, what do you know? It's like, man, I knew multiple people in that locker room didn't get the Covid shot. But they got a card that they paid for."

This isn't a secondhand rumor from a fringe podcast.
Newton was a starting NFL quarterback during the mandate era – he knows exactly who was in those facilities.
Rodgers Said It First and Got Destroyed for It
Aaron Rodgers made the same claim on The Pat McAfee Show last week, right after Anthony Fauci sat before a Senate committee and invoked the Fifth Amendment 111 times rather than answer Rand Paul's questions.
Fauci – the man who told you to mask your children, shut down your church, and accept a two-tier society of the vaccinated and the untouchable – refused to answer a single substantive question from elected senators.
Rodgers didn't miss the irony.
He called out Fauci directly, then described life inside the NFL bubble: "A lot of people had probably fake vax cards back in the day. I remember seeing some of the vax cards. It was like written in crayon."
While those players walked freely through team facilities, Rodgers had to wear a yellow armband, train separately, and couldn't be around more than three people at a time.

For telling the truth in 2021.
For four years, the media treated Rodgers like a dangerous lunatic for refusing to comply with mandates that – by Newton's own account – half the locker room was secretly violating anyway.
The NFL Threatened Unvaccinated Players While Vaccinated Players Cheated
Here's what makes this story explosive: the punishment wasn't just an inconvenience.
Unvaccinated players submitted to daily testing, wore masks inside facilities, ate their meals at a distance, and were shut out of full access to team buildings.
Coaches who refused the shot lost their jobs.
Meanwhile – if Rodgers and Newton are both correct – plenty of vaccinated players and coaches weren't vaccinated at all.
They just had better paperwork.
The DOJ charged 21 people in April 2022 for running fake vaccine card operations, including one Seattle-based seller who admitted to selling fraudulent cards to three Olympic athletes and their coach before the Tokyo Games.
Fans who used fake cards to enter Bills games got hit with felony charges.
NFL players and coaches who allegedly did the same thing inside league facilities? Not a word from Roger Goodell.
The same league that fined players for wearing the wrong color cleats and suspended players for missing a drug test apparently ran a two-tier system: hammer the honest holdouts, look the other way at the fraud.
Rodgers got crucified publicly.

The Real Story Is What the NFL Knew
Rodgers called the COVID protocol era "a crazy time" and described the theater of it – mask up to walk into a restaurant, pull it off the moment you sit down – as "a crock."
He's right.
It was a compliance ritual designed to signal obedience, not stop a virus.
Roger Goodell issued zero statements during the mandate era about enforcement.
The league celebrated its vaccination numbers publicly.
Those numbers – if Newton and Rodgers are right – included coaches and executives who bought their way in at whatever nurses were charging back then.
Nobody forced to wear a yellow armband should have to stay quiet about that.
