Chelsea Clinton is back.
The former First Daughter has faded from the political spotlight in 2018.
But Clinton is gearing up for a major fight that has everyone talking.
Clinton headlined a pro-abortion event in Manhattan in order to gin up opposition to Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation to the Supreme Court.
The Washington Examiner reports:
Chelsea Clinton has not endorsed any candidates ahead of the 2018 midterm elections, but she is jumping into the Senate fight over President Trump’s nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court.
Clinton will headline a “Rise Up For Roe” event in New York City Saturday to oppose Trump’s second nominee to the nation’s highest court, she confirmed to the Washington Examiner.
The Aug. 11 event in Manhattan is meant “to talk about the very real threat #Kavanaugh poses to abortion rights,” according to the event’s website.
Planned Parenthood Action Fund, NARAL Pro-Choice America, and the Demand Justice Initiative have organized the New York event as part of a nationwide tour to urge people to consider what most assume to be Kavanaugh’s conservative-aligned views on abortion.
Abortion is the left’s Holy Grail.
After Trump nominated Judge Kavanaugh, liberals began to panic that there would finally be a 5-4 majority on the court to overturn Roe v. Wade.
The left depends on the court to impose their social agenda and Trump’s new Supreme Court selection is threatening to end that strategy for a generation.
So liberals are going to pull out all the stops in order to block Judge Kavanaugh’s confirmation.
And that included dragging Chelsea Clinton out of mothballs to host a political rally.
Clinton could also be lending her name to the fight to build up liberal goodwill in for a future run for office.
We will keep you up to date on any new developments in Judge Kavanaugh’s confirmation battle.
