Chuck Schumer was furious after Senate conservatives hit him with this nasty surprise

The fallout from Donald Trump’s sham criminal conviction is beginning.

Now some of the GOP is ready to fight fire with fire.

And Chuck Schumer was furious after Senate conservatives hit him with this nasty surprise.

Conservatives vow to grind the Senate to a halt

Democrats have shredded the Constitution and the rule of law in their witch hunt against former President Donald Trump.

Soros-backed Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg got a bogus 34-count felony conviction from a rigged jury in his case against the former President for allegedly falsifying business records.

Now a group of Senate conservatives is vowing to gum up the works as much as possible for Democrats in the upper chamber.

U.S. Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) and a group of his colleagues pledged that they would block President Joe Biden and Democrats Senate priorities in response to the Trump conviction.

Lee was joined in the pledge by U.S. Senators Josh Hawley (R-MO), Ron Johnson (R-WI), Marco Rubio (R-FL), Rick Scott (R-FL), Roger Marshall (R-KS), J.D. Vance (R-OH), Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), Tommy Tuberville (R-AL), and Eric Schmitt (R-MO).

The group is hoping to get more Senate Republicans to sign onto the pledge.

“The White House has made a mockery of the rule of law and fundamentally altered our politics in un-American ways,” the pledge states. “As a Senate Republican conference, we are unwilling to aid and abet this White House in its project to tear this country apart.”

The Senators laid out what they hoped to block with their coalition.

“To that end, we will not 1) allow any increase to non-security related funding for this administration, or any appropriations bill which funds partisan lawfare; 2) vote to confirm this administration’s political and judicial appointees; and 3) allow expedited consideration and passage of Democrat legislation or authorities that are not directly relevant to the safety of the American people,” the pledge added.

Senate conservatives hoping to grow their ranks

Lee said that it was a time for choosing for Republican Senators after the outrageous Trump verdict.

“Strongly worded statements are not enough,” Lee said on X. “Those who turned our judicial system into a political cudgel must be held accountable. We are no longer cooperating with any Democrat legislative priorities or nominations, and we invite all concerned Senators to join our stand.”

The Senate conservatives are drawing a line in the sand after the Democrats weaponized the justice system against the chief political rival of President Joe Biden.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer has a slim 51-49 majority and needs 60 votes to break a potential filibuster.

Republicans have a chance to slow down and stop much of the Senate’s business if they present a united front.

“This is a call for Senate Republican Conference unity,” Lee said. “Now is a time for choosing. Will we let the Republicans fall or are we going to do something about it?”

The Trump verdict was so outrageous that RINO U.S. Senators Mitt Romney (R-UT) and Susan Collins (R-ME) condemned it.

Now Senate Republicans have a chance to put their money where their mouth is and grind the Biden agenda to a halt.
