CNN may have to fire Chris Cuomo after this bombshell sex scandal testimony

Chris Cuomo is one of CNN’s most controversial anchors.

But Cuomo is in hot water.

And now CNN may have to fire Chris Cuomo after this bombshell sex scandal testimony.

The New York State Attorney General’s office released thousands of pages of documents from its investigation into multiple women making allegations of sexual harassment or assault against former Governor Andrew Cuomo.

This investigation led to Cuomo stepping down in August.

CNN anchor Chris Cuomo previously admitted attending strategy calls with his brother’s advisors on how to respond to this growing scandal.

Now, Americans have learned Chris Cuomo’s involvement ran much deeper, as documents show Cuomo worked his contacts in the media to dig up dirt on at least one of the women alleging Governor Cuomo sexually harassed her by touching her inappropriately at a wedding.

CNBC reports:

Chris Cuomo was actively in touch with Melissa DeRosa, who was the then-governor’s top aide, about incoming media reports that detailed alleged sexual harassment by Andrew Cuomo, according to exhibits from the Attorney General’s probe and a transcript of his interview with the state’s investigators. He also lobbied to help the governor’s office as it sought to weather the storm of accusations, and he dictated statements for the then-governor to use.

“Please let me help with the prep,” Chris Cuomo said to DeRosa in one message in early March. Then, three days after the New York Times reported in March about how Andrew Cuomo attempted to kiss a woman, Anna Ruch, in an unwanted advance at a wedding, Chris Cuomo texted DeRosa: “I have a lead on the wedding girl.”

CNN faced immediate calls to fire Cuomo.

The network’s P.R. Director, Matt Dornic, released a statement revealing that CNN would take a wait-and-see approach to the scandal.

“The thousands of pages of additional transcripts and exhibits that were released today by the NY Attorney General deserve a thorough review and consideration,” Dornic stated. “We will be having conversations and seeking additional clarity about their significance as they relate to CNN over the next several days.”

CNN previously declined to fire legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin after he masturbated on a Zoom call with his coworkers at The New Yorker.

Chris Cuomo is now facing an even more serious situation, and so far, CNN has not taken any action against one of its star anchors.
