Democrats are taking full advantage of the one week delay in the Senate voting to confirm Brett Kavanaugh.
They hatched a new plan to stop his nomination.
And it’s so awful it will make your blood boil.
Democrats secured a one week pause after RINO Senator Jeff Flake caved to liberal media pressure.
Flake agreed to hold withhold his “yes” vote until the FBI completed a one week background investigation.
Democrats cheered on this agreement.
But it meant a final vote on Kavanaugh’s confirmation would be held on Friday.
Now, Democrats led by Senator Dianne Feinstein are claiming the one week pause is not enough.
Friday is now “too soon” to vote.
The Daily Caller reports:
Feinstein, the ranking Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee, insists Friday is too soon to hold a vote, according to Reuters. She also indicated that the FBI report should not be made public.
“It would seem to me that if people are going to be identified, this ought to be held very close,” Feinstein said.
The California senator was made aware of Christine Blasey Ford’s accusations of sexual assault in July, weeks before the Senate Judiciary Committee convened for Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearing. She notably withheld information from her Senate colleagues until right before the committee was scheduled to vote on Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court.
Democrats’ tactics are transparent.
They are only interested in delaying the vote past the mid-terms.
Democrats hope to win the Senate and keep the seat open for two years until the 2020 election.
But Republicans have had enough.
Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said the vote will happen this week.
