Democrats slammed the panic button over this Joe Biden blunder

Democrats are unable to keep their doubts to themselves.

The calendar is ticking away, and Donald Trump’s lead in the polls means it’s time to throw caution to the wind.

And Democrats slammed the panic button over this Joe Biden blunder.

Joe Biden’s campaign strategy

Prices are up over 19 percent since Joe Biden took office.

A Guardian/Harris poll from May showed 56 percent of Americans think the economy is in recession thanks to Bidenflation.

The border is wide open.

Most polls show the economy and immigration are the top two issues for voters.

The simple facts on the ground means Biden has no story to tell on the economy or the border.

That’s left Biden’s team playing the January 6 card.

Mike Donilon is one of Joe Biden’s handlers and he claims the 2024 election will be the January 6 election the way 2004 was the 9/11 election, which allowed George W. Bush to win re-election.

Other Democrats disagree and are now leaking to the media just how much trouble they think Biden is in.

Democrats go public with their discontent

One of the hallmarks of Biden’s 2020 campaign and his Presidency is that his team didn’t leak to the press.

But panic and bad polls have a way of changing that.

Axios published a bombshell piece with Democrats – some of whom even went on the record – publicly casting doubt on Biden’s strategy to make this election about “democracy on the ballot.”

“It is unclear to many of us watching from the outside whether the president and his core team realize how dire the situation is right now, and whether they even have a plan to fix it. That is scary,” one Democrat told Axios.

Axios also reported that sources revealed that Biden’s handlers only want yes men around.

“People close to the President,” a source told Axios, saying Biden’s team has a tendency to “exile dissenters.”

“Even for those close to the center, there is a hesitance to raise skepticism or doubt about the current path, for fear of being viewed as disloyal,” Axios reported.

Biden and his teams are stubbornly committed to plowing ahead with their strategy.

“There is not a discussion that a change of course is needed,” the source concluded.

Former Hillary Clinton and Mike Bloomberg operative Howard Wolfson said the situation was more dire than Biden cared to admit and that Biden was on track to lose the election.

“Can that change? Yes. Is it on the path to do so? I don’t see that yet,” Wolfson stated.

The wrong lesson from 2020

Biden’s team heard all the doubters in 2020.

And they view their win as vindication that they are smarter than everyone else.

“Wow people really like us,” one Democrat said was the takeaway Biden’s handlers took from the 2020 election.

But that misread the situation.

Biden only won the Democrat nomination because party elites realized every other candidate in the race had failed to stop Bernie Sanders.

The party unified around Biden to prevent a Sanders nomination because there was no other choice.

And Biden won in 2020 not because the people loved him, but because as Molly Ball explained in Time Magazine, every institutional power source in America colluded to defeat Donald Trump.

“There was a conspiracy unfolding behind the scenes, one that both curtailed the protests and coordinated the resistance from CEOs. Both surprises were the result of an informal alliance between left-wing activists and business titans. The pact was formalized in a terse, little-noticed joint statement of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and AFL-CIO published on Election Day,” Ball wrote.

“Both sides would come to see it as a sort of implicit bargain–inspired by the summer’s massive, sometimes destructive racial-justice protests–in which the forces of labor came together with the forces of capital to keep the peace and oppose Trump’s assault on democracy,” Ball added.

Joe Biden’s handlers are ignoring that history.

And Biden’s fellow Democrats think that’s a mistake of historic proportions.
