Barack Obama and his Deep State henchmen thought they could breathe a sigh of relief following the election.
They thought wrong.
Devin Nunes dropped the hammer on Barack Obama’s allies with this criminal allegation.
Appearing on Fox News, House Intelligence Committee Ranking member Devin Nunes blasted former FBI officials for lying to Congress about the Russia investigation in the wake of newly released text messages from disgraced former FBI agent Peter Strzok.
“Look, I think, overall here, these are kind of the text messages that we have all been waiting for, that we knew probably existed, that give the hard evidence that our investigation really needed several years ago,” Nunes told host Maria Bartiromo.
“So, I have made the statement on your show and many others publicly over the last few years that we know the FBI was lying to Congress, because we knew that they did not open this investigation because of Papadopoulos, and then they opened it on July 31. That was always nonsense. There was plenty of evidence of that.”
Nunes stated that the text messages from Strzok showed former Trump campaign aide George Papadopoulos was a “phony target” even though FBI officials claimed Papadopoulos’ May meeting with Australian diplomat Alexander Downer in London was the catalyst for opening the Russian collusion probe.
“And, here, we have a text message that was clearly relevant to our investigation that they hid from us,” Nunes added. “And look, I would also say it’s now clear that Papadopoulos was so mistreated, it’s just so unbelievable. I mean, they’re actually — this — the FBI and DOJ in this country ought to be ashamed of themselves, mocking a target that they knew was a phony target. They’re making fun of Papadopoulos. This is really, really bad, and somebody needs to pay a price for it.”
Trump supporters have been frustrated over the last four years about the lack of criminal charges against the Deep State conspirators who plotted a coup to remove President Trump.
Devin Nunes is speaking to that frustration.
And he hopes that additional criminal referrals backed up by these newly disclosed text messages will get the ball rolling.
