Both Donald Trump and Tucker Carlson have a bone to pick with Fox News.

Trump and Carlson may be up to something.

And Donald Trump and Tucker Carlson may get revenge on Fox News with this shocking plan.

Donald Trump and Tucker Carlson could get together to counterprogram the first GOP Presidential debate scheduled for August 23 debate.

The two have a common enemy in the network televising the debate – Fox News Channel.

Trump doesn’t plan to attend the debate, citing his massive polling lead and the fact that Trump believes Fox News is in the tank for Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

Carlson is locked in a battle with Fox News to get out of his contract after the network canceled his show in April.

Fox News lost 30 percent of its primetime audience – and 45 percent of viewers in the key 25-54 age demographic – after firing Carlson.

Network executives believe the GOP Primary – which really kicks off with the August 23 debate – to win back the lost audience.

But Trump has strongly hinted that he won’t show up at the debate, which will depress the TV audience for the contest.

Trump may not just hurt the TV viewing audience with his absence and may also counter-program the debate by doing a livestream interview with Carlson on his Twitter show.

“Trump, meanwhile, has been throwing out different ideas for his own counterprogramming during the debate, the sources say, including sitting down with former Fox News host Tucker Carlson and calling into the different cable news shows,” CNN reports.

“Conversations regarding a potential interview with Carlson have taken place with Trump’s team, but there is no definitive plan for him to do that as of now, they say,” CNN also reported.

Carlson has yet to interview Trump since starting his new show.

Carlson previously interviewed six candidates when he moderated the Iowa FAMiLY Leader Summit.

A Trump interview on August 23 would let Carlson check that box.

And it would also allow Trump and Carlson to gain a measure of revenge on Fox News.

Given Trump’s polling dominance the attendees at the GOP debate will look like a JV squad without Trump’s presence.

And the real main event on August 23 could end up being Trump and Tucker Carlson.
