Donald Trump is gearing up to fight for his freedom in Fani Willis’ 2020 election show trial.
Willis is one of the Democrat prosecutors interfering in the 2024 Presidential election.
And Donald Trump had one message for Fani Willis that will have you cheering wildly.
Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis made headlines by inducing four of Donald Trump’s co-defendants in the RICO case to challenge the results of the 2020 election to plead guilty.
The media ran wild with the fact that three of the defendants who struck plea deals with Willis were Trump’s lawyers – Ken Chesbro, Sydney Powell, and Jenna Ellis.
Never-Trumpers in the press, the Democrat Party, and the GOP celebrated these guilty pleas as evidence the walls were closing in on Trump.
But Willis was counting on one fact.
The press ignored the fact that none of the guilty pleas were for the underlying RICO charge.
All four defendant’s guilty pleas were for lesser crimes and included no jail time.
This was a giant red flag about the strength – or lack thereof – in Willis’ case.
In a conspiracy case, prosecutors want the defendants to plead guilty to the underlying charge to prove the conspiracy exists.
Willis did not do that in her case because critics contend that even Willis knows her charges amount to criminalizing routine political behavior.
Willis is trying to rack up as many guilty pleas as possible leading to speculation that Trump could file a guilty plea.
A source close to the 45th President knocked down that rumor in a statement to Fox News.
“There will NEVER be talks on any plea deal with President Trump. NEVER!” the source told Fox.
Of course, there would have to be interest in Willis’ end on a plea deal and that doesn’t appear to be the case at all.
Rather, like in an organized crime trial, Willis sees Trump as the “big fish” she is ultimately gunning for by inducing all the lower-level figures to flip in exchange for lesser sentences.
There is also a good chance this case never goes to trial.
There is little to no chance this case will begin before the 2024 election.
Should Trump win next November, this case will go into mothballs as some county prosecutor won’t be able to try and put the President of the United States in jail.
