RINO former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley is the first announced candidate to challenge Donald Trump for the 2024 GOP Presidential nomination.

Everyone expected Trump to come out guns blazing.

But Donald Trump had this surprising reaction to Nikki Haley running for President.

Nikki Haley announced her Presidential campaign with kickoff video that played like it was something straight out of Romney’s 2012 campaign.

In the video, Haley alluded to Donald Trump by claiming she won’t “put up with bullies” in a clear reference to the fact that Trump often diminishes his rivals by tagging them with derogatory nicknames.

“You should know this about me. I don’t put up with bullies. And when you kick back, it hurts them more if you’re wearing heels,” Haley stated. “I’m Nikki Haley, and I’m running for President.”

But Trump subverted expectations by not giving Haley a nickname.

Instead, Trump and his team merely described Haley as a typical beltway politician.

Trump referenced Haley’s previous comment about not running if Trump sought re-election and said he told Haley if her heart told her to run that she should run for President.

“Even though Nikki Haley said, ‘I would never run against my President, he was a great President, the best President in my lifetime,’ I told her she should follow her heart and do what she wants to do. I wish her luck!” Trump declared.

In an interview with Hugh Hewitt, Trump stuck to that line noting how “ambitious” Haley always was.

“She’s a very ambitious person. She just couldn’t stay in her seat. And I said you know what? Nikki, if you want to run, you go ahead and run,” Trump stated.

Make America Great Again PAC head Taylor Budowich was a little more direct saying Haley was a typical Washington, D.C. ladder climber who started out as a Never-Trumper but then adjusted to support Trump after it became clear that was the direction the GOP base was heading.

“Nikki Haley is just another career politician,” Budowich’s statement read. “She started out as a Never Trumper before resigning to serve in the Trump admin. She then resigned early to go rake in money on corporate boards. Now, she’s telling us she represents a ‘new generation.’ Sure just looks like more of the same, a career politician whose only fulfilled commitment is to herself.”
