The Chinese government thinks it can get away with unleashing the coronavirus on the world and then lying about what really happened.
But the Chinese communist government just got some really bad news.
And Donald Trump hit China with one warning that stopped the world in its tracks.
China’s been spreading lies and misinformation about the coronavirus outbreak from Day One.
In November and December, China was covering up the outbreak.
During January, China lied to the world claiming there was no evidence of transmission between humans.
And in March, the Chinese government promoted conspiracy theories that the coronavirus originated from a U.S. military experiment.
Some experts believe China’s lies are the cause of the global outbreak.
There are official estimates that had China come clean even three weeks earlier the entire outbreak could have been contained in Wuhan and 95 percent of the cases could have been eliminated.
During a recent White House press briefing, Paula Reid of CBS asked the President if China would pay a price for their lies and propaganda.
The President told Reid she was the last person he would let in on that decision, but that “China will find out.”
“I wouldn’t tell you. China will find out. Why would I tell you?” the President explained. “How do you know there are no consequences? You’re going to find out. I wouldn’t tell you. You’re probably the last person on Earth that I would tell.”
Republicans like Trey Gowdy have suggested that the President deny Chinese students the ability to study in American universities and cancel debt owed to China.
There is a growing consensus in America and around the world that China should pay for their dishonesty and negligence.
And there is little doubt President Trump will follow through on that sentiment.
