At Joe Biden's peak, the Border Patrol was processing 336 illegal aliens every single hour.
Donald Trump just hit 15 straight months without releasing a single illegal alien.
DHS announced something this morning that leaves Biden's entire border legacy with nowhere to hide.
The Numbers Democrats Cannot Explain Away
Daily border apprehensions are down 94% from Biden's administration and sit at the lowest level in 30 years.
That's DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin announcing results this morning that would have seemed like science fiction four years ago.
At Biden's December 2023 peak, Border Patrol was processing 336 illegal aliens every hour – the same number Trump's agents are stopping in an entire day.

And it's not just the crossings.
Drug seizures in July ran 26% higher than under Biden – agents are catching more contraband because they're no longer buried in paperwork processing millions of economic migrants.
CBP Commissioner Rodney Scott put it plainly: "These results show what is possible when border security is treated as a national priority."
This Isn't an Accident – It's What Enforcement Actually Looks Like
Biden's team told you a secure border was impossible.
They said geography made it uncontrollable.
They said the numbers were driven by forces beyond any president's power.
Fifteen months of zero releases proved every one of those excuses was a lie.
The House Homeland Security Committee confirmed that fiscal year 2025 – which still included Biden's first 111 days of open-border chaos before Trump took over – closed with the lowest Border Patrol apprehensions since 1970.
The mechanism isn't complicated: when you enforce the law, people stop breaking it.
When catch-and-release ends, the word spreads through smuggling networks within weeks.

When zero means zero, the caravans stop forming.
Jim Jordan said it directly: "We want to make sure that if you ever, God forbid, get another Joe Biden-type president who's just going to open the border, that makes it much tougher for him to do what he did."
That's why Republicans are moving to lock these results into law.
Congress Is Moving to Make Sure Democrats Can Never Do This Again
The Permanent Trump Secure Border Act cleared the House Judiciary Committee on July 21 – along pure party lines, 16-14.
Think about what that means: with apprehensions at a 50-year low, with drug seizures climbing, with zero releases for 15 straight months – every single Democrat on that committee still voted against making any of it permanent.
Rep. Chip Roy's bill would make visa overstays a federal crime, write the end of catch-and-release directly into statute, tighten asylum eligibility, and require DHS to expand border technology – drones, radar systems, biometric screening, and DNA collection.
It would also mandate facility upgrades and a major staffing expansion, because Trump's team isn't just stopping the bleeding – they're building the infrastructure to hold the line past his presidency.
That last part is exactly the point.

Rep. Keith Self said it out loud: "President Trump won't be president forever. The moment he leaves office, future administrations could tear down every border security measure with a single executive order."
Biden proved it's possible.
He inherited enforcement tools and dismantled them before his first year was out.
The Permanent Trump Secure Border Act is the insurance policy against whoever comes next.
And Democrats voted no.
Every single one of them.
