Donald Trump and Joe Biden do not have a good relationship.
Trump contends Biden stole the 2020 election.
But now Donald Trump just admitted something about Joe Biden that left jaws on the ground.
In Donald Trump’s final year in office, Trump signed a peace deal to end the Afghanistan war after 20 years by withdrawing all American troops by May 1.
After Trump left office, it was up to Joe Biden to honor the deal.
But Biden pushed the withdrawal date back to September 11, 2021 to a politically-motivated timetable.
Trump blasted Biden for abusing the memory of 9/11 by turning it into a photo op.
“I wish Joe Biden wouldn’t use September 11th as the date to withdraw our troops from Afghanistan, for two reasons,” an email statement from Trump read. “First, we can and should get out earlier. Nineteen years is enough, in fact, far too much and way too long. I made early withdraw possible by already pulling much of our billions of dollars of equipment out and, more importantly, reducing our military presence to less than 2,000 troops from the 16,000 level that was there (likewise in Iraq, and zero troops in Syria except for the area where we KEPT THE OIL).”
Trump praised the move to withdraw from Afghanistan calling it a “wonderful and positive thing to do”, but Trump rapped Biden for prolonging America’s involvement in this war.
“Secondly, September 11th represents a very sad event and period for our Country and should remain a day of reflection and remembrance honoring those great souls we lost,” Trump added. “Getting out of Afghanistan is a wonderful and positive thing to do. I planned to withdraw on May 1st, and we should keep as close to that schedule as possible.”
Just like the coronavirus vaccine, Joe Biden is taking credit for an achievement that was developed under President Trump.
