Robert Mueller is set to testify before Congress on Wednesday.
The Fake News Media and the Democrats are playing up Mueller’s appearance before Congress as the big chance to breathe life into impeaching President Trump.
But Donald Trump made a prediction that will send Robert Mueller ducking for cover.
Robert Mueller’s testimony is high risk for Mueller and the Democrats.
Republicans will press Mueller on the origins of the Russia investigation, the anti-Trump bias on his team, exactly when he knew there was no evidence of collusion, as well as his decision not to recommend charges against President Trump.
If Mueller sticks to the report as he claims he will, the answers to these questions will be the main news out of the hearing.
And President Trump predicted that would spell doom for Mueller.
The Daily Caller reports:
President Donald Trump is predicting things will not go well for the “highly conflicted” Robert Mueller when the former special counsel testifies before Congress.
Trump tweeted Monday that Mueller “should not be given another bite at the apple. In the end it will be bad for him and the phony Democrats in Congress who have done nothing but waste time on this ridiculous Witch Hunt.” The president added the Mueller report’s conclusion: “NO COLLUSION, NO OBSTRUCTION!”
Mueller is scheduled to testify before the House Judiciary Committee and the House Intelligence Committee on Wednesday. Congressional leaders will then interview Mueller’s staff privately. Mueller may also quizzed by lawmakers.
Attorney General William Barr has said that Democrats in Congress are making a “public spectacle” of Mueller by asking him to testify. The former special counsel has already publicly commented on his report when he held a news conference in May, saying the report was his testimony.
Democrats are already frantically trying to lower expectations for Mueller’s testimony.
House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler conceded it could be a dud.
But will it blow up in the Democrats faces? Donald Trump seems to think the answer is yes.
