No one could believe the news.
Once one of President Trump’s closest aides tested positive for coronavirus all eyes turned to the President’s health.
And Donald Trump made this jaw-dropping announcement about contracting coronavirus.
Hope Hicks is one of President Trump’s longest serving and most trusted aides.
On Wednesday, Hicks tested negative for coronavirus before flying with the President on Air Force One.
After the flight, Hicks began feeling ill and was tested again and this time the result was positive for the coronavirus.
Hicks also traveled with the President to the debate on Tuesday and helped him prepare and she came into close contact with many of the President’s top advisors.
The President informed the American people that Hicks tested positive and that he was going into quarantine until he received the results of his coronavirus test.
“Hope Hicks, who has been working so hard without even taking a small break, has just tested positive for Covid 19. Terrible! The First Lady and I are waiting for our test results. In the meantime, we will begin our quarantine process!” the President wrote.
An hour later the President shocked the nation by revealing that he and Melania Trump tested positive for the coronavirus.
“Tonight, @FLOTUS and I tested positive for COVID-19. We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER!” President Trump tweeted.
On Thursday, Chief of Staff Mark Meadows told the press that the President was experiencing light symptoms.
The immediate question was how President Trump and his family would be affected by this diagnosis.
But there are also questions as to how the remaining month of the Presidential campaign will play out.
