The split between Fox News and Donald Trump is getting nasty.
Their relationship could be fractured beyond repair.
And Donald Trump put Fox News on notice with this devastating reality check.
Fox Corporation chairman Rupert Murdoch reportedly wants the Republican Party to move on from former President Donald Trump for the 2024 Election.
Murdoch’s media empire, which includes the Wall Street Journal, Fox News, and the New York Post has become more hostile towards Trump since the Midterm Elections.
The Fox chairman at one point was reportedly backing Florida Governor Ron DeSantis in the GOP Primary, though reports indicate he now is looking elsewhere.
A recent Wall Street Journal poll found that 73% of voters think that President Joe Biden is too old to run for President while 47% said the same thing about Trump.
60% of voters said that Biden wasn’t “mentally up for the job of President” while 49% said the same about Trump.
The 77-year-old Trump came out firing at the Wall Street Journal poll on his Truth Social platform.
“In a phony and probably rigged Wall Street Journal poll, coming out of nowhere to softened the mental incompetence blow that is so obvious with Crooked Joe Biden, they ask about my age and mentality,” Trump wrote. “Where did that come from? A few years ago I was the only one to agree to a mental acuity test, & ACED IT. Now that the Globalists at Fox & the WSJ have failed to push their 3rd-tier candidate to success, they do this. Well, I hereby challenge Rupert Murdoch & Sons, Biden, and WSJ heads, to acuity tests!”
He also challenged them to a physical fitness test noting his success as a golfer.
“I will name the place and the test, and it will be a tough one. Nobody will come even close to me,” Trump added. “We can also throw some physical activity into it. I just won the Senior Club Championship at a big golf club, with many very good players. To do so you need strength, accuracy, touch, and, above all, mental toughness. Ask Bret Baier (Fox), a very good golfer.”
Trump’s age could be the next angle of attack that his GOP challengers look to use against him.
DeSantis questioned whether Trump and Biden were too old to be President shortly after the post by the former President.
The former President took a jab at the Murdoch media outlets for pushing a fake narrative that he’s become unpopular with Republicans.
“The Wall Street Journal and FoxNews keep pushing the narrative, through Trey Gowdy and others, that ‘BOTH’ Crooked Joe Biden and 45th President Donald J. Trump are unpopular within their own Party,” Trump wrote. “This happens to be true for Crooked Joe, where they won’t even let RFK Jr. have his votes fairly counted (more RIGGING, and STEALING Elections!), but VERY untrue for ‘TRUMP,’ where I have a 90% Approval Rating, and am crushing the “second tier” candidates by 50, 60, and even 70 Points. THAT’S POPULAR!”
The relationship between Donald Trump and Fox News is growing more hostile as the Republican primary starts to heat up.
