All eyes are on the Presidential election.
Polls show Joe Biden growing his lead over President Trump.
And Donald Trump saw this brand new poll that called everything into question.
Yesterday a Quinnipiac poll found Joe Biden leading Donald Trump by 15 points and a NBC/Wall Street Journal poll showed Biden leading Trump by 11 points.
However, a Rasmussen Reports poll revealed that President Trump cut Biden’s lead from ten points to three.
Rasmussen reports wrote about their poll:
President Trump has jumped back into the race and now trails Joe Biden by just three points in Rasmussen Reports’ weekly White House Watch survey.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds the likely Democratic presidential nominee earning 47% support among Likely U.S. Voters to Trump’s 44%. Five percent (5%) prefer some other candidate. Four percent (4%) are undecided.
A week ago, in our first weekly White House Watch survey, Biden held a 10-point lead over Trump – 50% to 40%.
A YouGuv/Economist poll found the race unchanged from the week before.
The difference in the polls could be how they are conducted.
Polls where respondents speak to a live operator have always leaned against the President.
Random Digit Dialing or online polls like Rasmussen and YouGuv have found voters more likely to approve of Trump.
Polls in the race clearly show Joe Biden leading right now.
But Biden’s lead may not be as big as some of the polls show.
Key swing state polls in 2016 in Michigan and Wisconsin were wrong because they undersampled Trump voters.
Could the polls be making the same error again in the 2020 election?
