Donald Trump and Tesla CEO Elon Musk are locked in a feud.
Trump always wants the last word.
And Donald Trump told everyone he could have made Elon Musk do one shocking thing.
At a rally in Alaska, Trump told a crowd of supporters that Musk was a “bulls*it artist” for claiming 2022 was the first time he would cast a vote for a Republican.
Trump said Musk told him that he would vote for him in 2020.
Musk responded that this was not true, and that it was also time for Trump to retire from politics and “sail into the sunset.”
Musk also wrote that Democrats should call off the dogs and stop trying to prosecute Trump.
“I don’t hate the man, but it’s time for Trump to hang up his hat & sail into the sunset. Dems should also call off the attack – don’t make it so that Trump’s only way to survive is to regain the Presidency,” Musk posted on social media.
Trump was not about to let that swipe slide.
Responding on his Truth Social platform, Trump posted a picture of Musk in the Oval Office with him accompanied by a post attacking Musk for seeking government subsidies for his Tesla cars.
Trump also wrote that Musk claimed he was a Trump fan and a Republican, adding that he could have told Musk to drop to his knees and he would have done it.
“When Elon Musk came to the White House asking me for help on all of his many subsidized projects, whether it’s electric cars that don’t drive long enough, driverless cars that crash, or rocketships to nowhere, without which subsidies he’d be worthless,” Trump declared, before adding, “and telling me how he was a big Trump fan and Republican, I could have said, ‘drop to your knees and beg,’ and he would have done it…”
Trump also slammed Musk for not following through with his proposed $44 billion purchase of Twitter.
“Now Elon should focus on getting himself out of the Twitter mess because he could owe $44 billion for something that is perhaps worthless. Also, lots of competition for electric cars,” Trump added.
