Donald Trump is gearing up for another Presidential run.
The establishment just threw him a nasty curveball.
And Donald Trump was furious after a top Republican made one shocking announcement.
After months of dropping hints, former President Donald Trump appears to be on the verge of officially announcing his 2024 Presidential run.
At his final campaign rally before the Midterm elections, Trump gave his strongest indication yet that he’s running in 2024.
“I’m going to be making a very big announcement on Tuesday, November 15, at Mar-a-Lago, Florida,” Trump told the crowd.
With another Presidential bid likely on the way, Trump will have to deal with a new challenge after an announcement from Republican National Committee (RNC) Chair Ronna McDaniel.
McDaniel said that the RNC would no longer pay Trump’s legal bills once he officially becomes a candidate for President.
“We cannot pay legal bills for any candidate that’s announced,” McDaniel said during an interview with CNN.
She pointed to a frivolous lawsuit filed against Trump by New York Democrat Attorney General Letitia James.
“It was voted on by our executive committee for our former President that this was a politically motivated investigation, and that’s what it’s been,” McDaniel explained.
After leaving office, Trump has been the target of politically motivated lawsuits by Attorney General James, former Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus R. Vance Jr., and current Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.
The New York Democrats have been on a political witch hunt against Trump in hopes of derailing another Presidential bid.
Attorney General James won her 2018 election by explicitly promising to use her office to come after Trump.
She led a bogus civil investigation into the Trump Organization’s business dealings for bank, tax, and insurance fraud.
Despite hype from the corporate-controlled media that the lawsuit would bring down Trump, it completely fizzled out.
James’ lawsuit was so blatantly political that even CNN’s Senior Legal Analyst Elie Honig admitted that her investigation was “politicized.”
Last year, the RNC reportedly paid $121,670 to the law firm of Ronald Fischetti, who represented Trump in the lawsuits brought by New York Democrats.
“We cannot make in-kind contributions to any candidate right now. He’s the former President being attacked from every which way with lawsuits, and he’s certainly raised more under the RNC than we’ve spent on these bills,” McDaniel explained.
The RNC has decided that the Party won’t back any candidates in the GOP Presidential Primary, even if Trump runs again.
“The Party has to stay neutral. I’m not telling anybody to run or not to run in 2024,” McDaniel said. “That’s going to be up to those candidates going forward.”
The RNC’s decision to stop paying for Trump to defend himself against frivolous lawsuits will be another challenge for him after he announces his campaign.
