Americans are quickly regretting Joe Biden’s promise to retain Dr. Fauci.
This decision is working out worse than anyone could imagine.
And Dr. Fauci just delivered some bad news to the American people about 2021.
In an interview with Don Lemon of Fake News CNN, Dr. Fauci pumped up the doom and gloom fear mongering over the coronavirus outbreak.
Fauci claimed that even if America reached herd immunity through a mass vaccination campaign, it would not be enough to get America back to complete normality by the end of 2021.
“You can’t look at yourself in a vacuum, like ‘I’m vaccinated, and when can we get back to normal,’” Fauci told Lemon. “If you want our society to get back to normal, you have to get about 70 to 85 percent of the population vaccinated. Because if you do that … the level of infection is going to go very, very low down in the community, and in society.”
“Maybe not 100 percent back to normal, but at least approaching normal,” Fauci added.
Fauci made sure to drive home even more negative news by declaring that unless Americans doubled down on lockdowns and masks that new variations of the coronavirus could become the dominant strain and push a return to normal life back until 2022 or later.
“Having said that, Don, there is an absolute ‘But’ in that,” Fauci continued. “The ‘But’ is that we have to address the variants. If the variants and the mutations come and start becoming dominant, then that’s going to obviate some of the effects of the vaccine. […] If you vaccinate people and double down on public health measures and keep the level of viral dynamics low, we will not have an easy evolution into mutations.”
Many Trump supporters believe one of the biggest mistakes Donald Trump made was not firing Dr. Fauci right at the get go.
Fauci has changed his opinion and advice on every conceivable subject and never allows for any optimism or hope that this pandemic will end and Americans can just move on with normal life.
