Fox News Channel just made a major shakeup.
It could not have come at a worse time.
And Fox News just announced it fired a popular host for this shocking reason.
Ed Henry had been with Fox News since 2011 serving as a White House correspondent and most recently as the host of “America’s Newsroom.”
Henry took a leave of absence in 2016 after it came to light that he had an extramarital affair.
But now Henry’s career at Fox News is over.
Fox News CEO Suzanne Scott and President Jay Wallace announced in a memo to all staff that the network fired Henry after allegations of sexual misconduct surfaced.
“On Thursday, June 25, we received a complaint about Ed Henry from a former employee’s attorney involving willful sexual misconduct in the workplace years ago,” Scott and Wallace wrote in their memo. “Ed was suspended the same day and removed from his on-air responsibilities pending investigation. Based on investigative findings, Ed has been terminated.”
Ever since Fox News fired former network President Roger Ailes in 2016 over allegations of sexual harassment, Fox News Channel’s critics in the left-wing media want to paint Fox as a sexist work environment where women are preyed upon.
Fox News firing Henry will only fuel that narrative.
The network’s critics are hoping that repeated allegations of sexual misconduct as well as Donald Trump losing in the fall will force a management change at Fox News which will lead to the network firing Sean Hannity, Tucker Carlson, and Lauran Ingraham as part of a revamp that turns Fox into another CNN.
If that happens, the Left will then control all of the major sources of information for the American people.
