Hillary Clinton suffered one of the most humiliating defeats in American political history.
Most Americans wish she would just go away.
Clinton then made the one decision that made every Republican jump for joy.
If Hillary isn’t going to slink off into the shadows of American political life then she is going to do the next best thing.
Clinton is going to insert herself into the 2018 midterm elections.
“Hillary also convened her political group Onward Together on Monday in New York City with help from co-founder and fellow failed presidential candidate, Howard Dean, according to Axios.
She and Dean “will welcome 11 partner organizations for a day of sessions ‘about harnessing the energy and activism post-election,’” Axios reported. “In the afternoon, the groups have the chance to meet with 150 donors.”
Onward Together raised more than $1 million last year from more than 30,000 donors and wants that figure to grow this year, according to Axios.
The Onward Together website reveals the left-wing, anti-Trump groups it supports, including Indivisible and Swing Left.”
Clinton’s re-emergence is a gift to the GOP.
Nothing motivates Republicans to flood the voting booths more than the chance to deliver a harsh rebuke to Hillary Clinton.
And Republican candidates up and down the ballot are craving the opportunity to tie their Democrat opponents to Hillary Clinton.
The fact of the matter is Clinton lost the election despite having the support of every living President and their family, the media, Hollywood, academia, the FBI, the intelligence community and the “intellectual” center of the Republican Party.
Clinton lost because Americans judged her to be a corrupt hack that has no business controlling the levers of power.
Anything Hillary does to play a role in the 2018 elections will only aid Republicans in their effort to hang on to their majorities.
