Iran threatened Donald Trump with one ultimatum that is very bad news

Last year, Donald Trump pulled out of Barack Obama’s disastrous Iranian nuclear deal.

The President reimposed crippling economic sanctions designed to bring Iran back to the bargaining table.

And Iran just responded by threatening Donald Trump with one ultimatum that is very bad news.

Iran is ratcheting up their threats – they shot down an unmanned American drone – to cause chaos and force Trump to abandon the sanctions and reinstate Obama’s nuclear deal.

Their latest provocation was an announcement by Iranian President Hassan Rouhani that the country would exceed uranium enrichment limits set under the nuclear deal by Monday.

Politico reports:

Rouhani said Iran will “take the next step” on Sunday to increase uranium enhancement to “any amount that we want,” adding: “If you want to express regret and issue a statement, you can do it now.”

The remarks, reported by the Associated Press, follow Tehran’s announcement Monday that it had breached the roughly 300 kilogram uranium stockpile limit established by the nuclear deal, which also prohibits Iran from enriching uranium beyond 3.67 percent.

“We will take over 3.67,” Rouhani said Wednesday, threatening the deal’s European signatories — France, Germany and the United Kingdom — to begin work on providing Tehran international relief from Trump administration sanctions meant to hobble Iran’s economy.

“Our advice to Europe and the United States is to go back to logic and to the negotiating table,” Rouhani said. “Go back to understanding, to respecting the law and resolutions of the U.N. Security Council. Under those conditions, all of us can abide by the nuclear deal.”

President Trump responded by saying this development was not good and Iran was wading into dangerous territory by taking this step.

President Trump is trying to get out from under the disaster that was Obama’s nuclear deal with Iran.

Obama was so desperate to get any deal that he could claim as a legacy achievement that he appeased the Islamic government in Tehran with an agreement that allowed them to develop a nuclear weapon in ten years.

The only chance for Trump to stop Iran was to pull out of Obama’s agreement and reinstate the economic sanctions.

Iran clearly liked dealing with Obama better and they are attempting to cause a global crisis to pressure President Trump into backing down.
