James Comer Just Revealed a Bombshell About Ilhan Omar’s Entire Family

Ilhan Omar wrote the bill that fraudsters used to steal $250 million from hungry children.

Now her entire family is in the crosshairs of the Justice Department.

What James Comer said next about Ilhan Omar is something Democrats never saw coming.

Comer Names Todd Blanche’s DOJ as the Source

House Oversight Chairman James Comer went on Benny Johnson’s show Wednesday and said officials inside Todd Blanche’s Justice Department told him the scrutiny has expanded well past Ilhan Omar herself.

Every member of her family is being investigated.

Comer also accused Omar’s husband, Tim Mynett, of fraud – a man who somehow watched his business valuations explode from $51,000 in 2023 to $30 million in 2024.

That’s not a business success story.

That’s a question that demands a federal answer.

This follows JD Vance’s announcement in May that DOJ investigators were examining Omar’s marriage history and possible immigration fraud.

Vance was direct: if they find a crime, they will prosecute.

The Fraud Network That Surrounded Her

Here is what makes the Comer revelation impossible to dismiss.

The $250 million Feeding Our Future scandal – the largest COVID-19 fraud scheme in American history – was built on a program Ilhan Omar personally wrote.

Tom Emmer said it plainly on Wednesday: the MEALS Act was “specifically written by her” and was “determined by a federal judge to have been drafted so that it was susceptible to fraud.”

Of the more than 90 people charged, 86 were Somali – many of them her constituents, and some of them her documented associates.

There is videotape of Omar with people who are now federal fraud convicts.

Three of those fraudsters were just sentenced in August to a combined 155 months in prison for wire fraud and money laundering – the 24th, 25th, and 26th defendants put away in this case.

Every new conviction tightens the circle.

The man the U.S. Attorney’s office called second only to ringleader Aimee Bock fled to Somalia.

The FBI tracked him down, extradited him in July, and FBI Director Kash Patel called it “a historic moment in the FBI’s war on fraud.”

“You saw her financial disclosure form and the discrepancy was on a winery in Minnesota and a couple of other projects where she had tried to get earmarks for things that would have benefited the Somali community that have already been identified in committing fraud in Minnesota,” Comer told Johnson. “The Blanche Justice Department is investigating the entire Omar family.”

“From everything that I’m reading and everything that l’ve been told, Omar is one of those in the crosshairs,” he added.

The $30 Million Question

Comer’s committee started pulling on this thread in February after Omar’s financial disclosures showed the Mynett businesses surging from near zero to as much as $30 million in a single year.

The Oversight Committee subpoenaed financial records, investor documents, audit history, and internal communications with federal agencies.

Then Omar quietly filed an amended disclosure, slashing that $30 million figure down to between $18,000 and $95,000.

Trump noticed.

He said publicly the DOJ is examining how Omar “left Somalia with NOTHING, and is now reportedly worth more than 44 Million Dollars.”

You don’t amend your financial disclosures by $30 million because of an accounting error.

You amend them because someone started asking questions you can’t answer.

Twenty Six Sentenced and the Circle Keeps Closing on Omar

Democrats spent years calling every investigation into Omar’s finances a “political stunt” and a “smear campaign.”

They said the same thing about the Feeding Our Future investigation before 70 people got charged, 26 got sentenced, and the FBI started flying fugitives home from Mogadishu.

The DOJ doesn’t chase accounting errors across an ocean.

They chase fraud – and right now, they’re chasing it straight to Ilhan Omar’s front door.
