IRS whistleblowers revealed the massive political inference to protect Hunter Biden.

The President’s son is trying to cover up the Justice Department’s abuse of power.

And James Comer put Hunter Biden on notice for this sinister scheme to silence a whistleblower.

IRS whistleblowers Gary Shapley and Joseph Ziegler worked the agency’s years-long investigation into Hunter Biden.

They testified that the Justice Department and top IRS officials were meddling in their investigation every step of the way to protect the President’s son.

The Justice Department tried to make the Hunter Biden case go away after five years of investigation after the first blew the whistle earlier this summer.

The sweetheart plea agreement that the Justice Department gave Biden to escape with no jail time for tax crimes and a gun charge collapsed in part because of them coming forward.

Hunter Biden’s legal team targeted the IRS whistleblowers in an attempt to hide the preferential treatment his father’s Justice Department gave him.

His attorney Abbe Lowell sent a letter in June to House Ways and Means Chairman Jason Smith (R-MO) that said the IRS whistleblowers broke federal law with their whistleblower disclosure.

Smith and House Oversight Committee chairman James Comer (R-KY) and House Judiciary Committee chairmen Jim Jordan (R-OH) are trying to get to the bottom of Hunter Biden’s legal intimidation of the IRS whistleblowers.

The committee chairmen sent a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland demanding that he turn over any communications between his office and Biden’s legal team.

The chairmen pointed to Lowell’s letter to Smith and a report in The New York Times that Biden’s legal team told the Justice Department that the whistleblowers broke the law.

The Times claimed they had access to “more than 200 pages of confidential correspondence” between Biden’s legal team and Delaware US Attorney David Weiss who was in charge of the probe.

Attorneys for Biden “contended to the Justice Department that by disclosing details about the investigation to Congress, [the IRS whistleblowers] broke the law and should be prosecuted” according to the report.

“Hunter Biden’s legal team is engaged in a brazen effort to intimidate and harass the brave Internal Revenue Service (IRS) whistleblowers who exposed numerous apparent irregularities in the Department’s investigation of Hunter Biden,” the letter said.

The chairmen said that Lowell’s letter “slandered the brave IRS whistleblowers as ‘disgruntled agents’ with an ‘axe to grind.'”

Any action against legally protected whistleblowers would be illegal whistleblower retaliation according to the letter.

The letter noted the IRS whistleblowers “followed the appropriate process by raising their genuine concerns about how the Department conducted its investigation into Mr. Biden.”

The chairmen said that they are trying to “determine the extent to which Mr. Biden’s attorneys are attempting to obstruct the Committees’ oversight.”

The cover-up in the Hunter Biden investigation is turning into another major crime for embattled First Family.
