Joe Biden got blindsided by one leak that left the entire Democrat Party in disarray

Joe Biden’s struggling to get his Presidency back on track.

Biden and his allies thought they were heading into more favorable political terrain.

But Joe Biden got blindsided by one leak that left the entire Democrat Party in disarray.

Joe Biden’s poll numbers plunged as the American people soured on Joe Biden over his failures on the border, crime, jobs, Afghanistan, and inflation.

Democrats hoped that heading into September Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer could ram through a $3.5 trillion dollar spending bill that will impose Green New Deal-style policies and huge socialist welfare handouts.

But even that initiative is in doubt as West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin let it be known that he would not support anywhere near $3.5 trillion in spending.

Axios reported:

Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) has privately warned the White House and congressional leaders that he has specific policy objections to President Biden’s $3.5 trillion social-spending dream — and he’ll support as little as $1 trillion of it, Axios’ Hans Nichols scoops.

At most, Manchin will support $1.5 trillion, sources familiar with the discussions say.

Manchin wants the bill fully “paid for” with tax increases.

One and half trillion dollars is a stretch, and it’s only possible by raising taxes by three trillion dollars.

Axios also reported that “Manchin also will insist on paying for any new spending with new revenue, which will limit the ultimate size of any final package.”

Manchin limiting the size of the Green New Deal/socialist welfare could also imperil the $1.2 trillion-dollar fake infrastructure bill that was seen as a down payment on the Green New Deal so that Manchin and other moderates got cover to support the $3.5 trillion dollar bill.

Socialists like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez vowed to oppose the $1.2 trillion dollar bill unless Manchin supported the $3.5 trillion dollar bill.

With Joe Biden facing defeat and crises on every front, Democrats hoped trillions in new spending could reverse their sagging political fortunes and motivate the Democrat base.

But now they may be on the verge of a party civil war.
