Joe Biden got caught in a huge lie about Vladimir Putin by the one source he never suspected

Joe Biden is bungling his way through another foreign policy crisis.

The stakes could not be higher.

And Joe Biden got caught in a huge lie about Vladimir Putin by the one source he never suspected.

During a press conference at NATO headquarters, CBS News reporter Christina Ruffini asked Joe Biden about the failure of sanctions to deter Russian President Vladimir Putin from ordering an invasion of Ukraine.

Biden snapped and falsely claimed that he never intended to deter Putin with sanctions, ranting:

Let’s get something straight. You remember, if you covered me from the very beginning, I did not say in fact the sanctions would deter him. Sanctions never deter. You keep talking about that. Sanctions never deter.

The maintenance of sanctions, the maintenance of sanctions, the increasing the pain and the demonstration why I asked for this NATO meeting today is to be sure that after a month we will sustain what we’re doing, not just next month, the following month, but for the remainder of this entire year. That’s what will stop him.

Ruffini then asked Biden if he thought sanctions would force Putin to back down in Ukraine.

“Do you believe the actions today will have an impact on Russia changing course in Ukraine,” Ruffini asked Biden.

That question caused Biden to flip his lid and start shouting at Ruffini.

“That’s not what I said. You’re playing a game with me … The answer’s no,” Biden ranted.

Of course, Joe Biden is lying.

Joe Biden’s National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan said two weeks before Putin gave the invasion order that the President believed the sanctions are intended to deter Russia from proceeding with an invasion of Ukraine.

This is the second foreign policy crisis – the withdrawal from Afghanistan being the first – that Joe Biden has botched.

But unlike the Afghanistan debacle, the conflict with Russia could escalate into full-on nuclear war.

And now Joe Biden is trying to cover up his historic failure that could lead to the United States slow-walking into a nuclear conflict with Russia.
