Joe Biden’s political standing crumbles more by the day.
Now the intelligence community is leaking against him.
And Joe Biden got caught on one taped phone call admitting the biggest lie of his Presidency.
Joe Biden has blamed everyone but himself for the catastrophic failure in Afghanistan that resulted in 13 dead U.S. soldiers and Americans stranded behind enemy lines.
Biden predictably blamed Donald Trump.
But Biden also blamed the intelligence community for failing to predict that the Afghan army and government would collapse so quickly.
That upset members of the intelligence community who exposed Biden for peddling a falsehood by leaking audio and a transcript of a July 23 phone call between Biden and now former Afghan President Ashraf Ghani where Biden begged Ghani to at least pretend the fight against the Taliban was going well even as provincial capitals fell in rapid succession.
Reuters exclusively reported:
In much of the call, Biden focused on what he called the Afghan government’s “perception” problem. “I need not tell you the perception around the world and in parts of Afghanistan, I believe, is that things are not going well in terms of the fight against the Taliban,” Biden said. “And there is a need, whether it is true or not, there is a need to project a different picture.”
Biden told Ghani that if Afghanistan’s prominent political figures were to give a press conference together, backing a new military strategy, “that will change perception, and that will change an awful lot I think.”
Joe Biden knew a month ago that the Afghan government rested on a shaky foundation and did nothing to evacuate American citizens until the last minute after troops had already left the country.
The Biden administration claims they sent out some emails to Americans telling them to get out, but knew the country could very easily fall into Taliban hands and did not stage a full scale rescue effort until it was too late.
