Joe Biden has one big reason to worry about Hillary Clinton replacing him in 2024

Democrats are panicking about 2024.

Joe Biden’s approval ratings tanked and Donald Trump is looking like he will run for President again.

And now Joe Biden has one big reason to worry about Hillary Clinton replacing him in 2024.

Michael D’Antonio, author of the pro-Clinton book, Hunting Hillary, became the latest supporter to test the waters for a Hillary Clinton 2024 comeback.

In D’Antonio’s op-ed on CNN.com, D’Antonio theorized that Clinton running for office a third time would electrify both the Left and the Right, writing:

While the mere mention of the Clintons in the context of another presidential campaign offends some and inspires others, everyone in the political world has a reason to be excited by the prospect.

Among her supporters, there must be millions who have recovered from the heartbreak of 2016 and are ready to back her again. Among those who oppose her, the chance to resume battle against the woman they love to hate must surely send hearts racing.

D’Antonio added that Clinton running again would allow for her to follow the career arc of past Presidents like Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, and George H.W. Bush, who all lost an election and later redeemed themselves by winning the Primary.

“Yet if she is ambitious, this would make her like other politicians — Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, the first president Bush — who lost either primary or general elections and came back to win the White House. They won because voters deemed them most qualified. Given her experience as First Lady, a United States senator, and Secretary of State, Hillary is one of the most qualified potential presidents in the land,” D’Antonio wrote.

This is the latest bread crumb dropped by a Hillary supporter to allow her the plausible deniability of claiming she has no intention of running for President in 2024.

But this is the second op-ed from a Clinton supporter outlining her path to running in 2024.

Former pollster Douglas Schoen recently penned a piece describing how Clinton could run as the “change” candidate if Republicans wipe out Democrats – as seen as very likely – in the upcoming Midterm elections.

For her part, Clinton has tried to position herself in the mainstream of the Democrat Party by knocking Joe Biden for not getting enough done and also criticizing the socialists like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for pulling the Party so far to the Left it cannot win elections outside of the bluest areas of the country.

A Quinnipiac poll showed Joe Biden with a 33 percent approval rating.

Multiple polls show Donald Trump beating Joe Biden in a head-to-head 2024 rematch.

Hillary Clinton would never overtly challenge a sitting President from her own Party.

But Clinton is sending out all the smoke signals that Democrats need to move on from Joe Biden and that she is ready and waiting in the bullpen for the call.
