Joe Biden ran for President on a message of unity.
But now that he is in office the American people are getting some bad news.
And that’s because Joe Biden just made every American’s worst nightmare come true with this concession on impeachment.
During the campaign, Donald Trump warned Americans that if Joe Biden served as President he would act as a rubber stamp for the radical Left.
One week into his tenure Trump’s prediction came true.
Republicans argued that if Biden was serious about his unity pledge he would tell Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer to stand down as a divisive, unnecessary, and unconstitutional impeachment trial of Donald Trump now that Trump is out of office.
Instead, Biden bowed to the pressure on the Left for revenge on Trump and told CNN that a trial has to happen and that it was supposedly in the country’s interest for the majority party to put the opposition party’s leader on trial.
President Joe Biden on Monday offered his most extensive comments since taking office on former President Donald Trump’s impeachment trial, telling CNN, “I think it has to happen.”
Biden made the comment during a brief one-on-one interview with CNN in the halls of the West Wing.
He acknowledged the effect it could have on his legislative agenda and Cabinet nominees but said there would be “a worse effect if it didn’t happen.”
But Biden also was forced to acknowledge the reality that 17 Republican Senators will not vote to convict Donald Trump rendering this whole exercise pointless.
“The Senate has changed since I was there, but it hasn’t changed that much,” Biden added.
During the debates, Biden claimed that he was the Democrat party and any suggestion the Left would run roughshod over him was simply false.
It took just five days for Joe Biden to be proved a liar on that front.
