Democrats and many in the media believe former Vice President Joe Biden is the strongest opponent for Donald Trump in the 2020 election.
But now everyone is having second thoughts.
That’s because Joe Biden made one mistake that is bad news for every Democrat.
Age is an issue for Joe Biden.
If elected, he would be 77 years old on inauguration day – the oldest American president ever to take the office.
Biden’s mental faculties have been called into question after uneven debate performances where he flubbed his lines, couldn’t remember facts, and generally looked confused.
The former Vice President added to the concerns about his fitness for office when over the weekend Biden mistakenly claimed mass shootings in El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio took place in Michigan and Houston.
The Washington Examiner reports:
Former Vice President Joe Biden misstated the locations of mass shootings in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio, while speaking to donors at a high-dollar fundraiser in San Diego on Sunday night.
Biden, 76, mistakenly referred to the shootings as “the tragic events in Houston today and also in Michigan the day before,” but later corrected himself, according to a pool report. Biden seemingly confused Houston for El Paso and Michigan for Ohio when speaking to donors about the shootings.
The fundraiser for his presidential campaign took place at the home of businessman Mark Arabo, who is an advocate for persecuted Iraqi Christians. Around 75 attendees at the fundraiser received a three-course meal before the vice president’s remarks, and listened to Biden speak in a marble-tiled living area with two chandeliers as they sat in rows of white chairs.
The longer Biden campaigns, the more questions the American people have about his candidacy.
Has Biden’s passed his prime? Would he be a doddering figurehead if elected President?
