Joe Biden made one shocking confession about the debate that left Democrats speechless

Joe Biden glitched and stumbled his way through the debate with the nation watching.

Now he’s trying to salvage his sinking Presidential campaign.

And Joe Biden made one shocking confession about the debate that left Democrats speechless.

Joe Biden makes laughable excuses for terrible debate performance

President Joe Biden delivered the game-changing moment of the election with his horrific performance at the first Presidential debate.

That disaster sparked a growing movement in the Democrat Party to replace him as their Presidential nominee.

Biden’s campaign began trying to damage control after the debate when they claimed that his befuddled performance on the debate stage was caused by a cold.

That excuse came into question when the allegedly sick President went to a packed Waffle House after the debate.

Biden then tested a new excuse at a high-dollar Democrat fundraiser in Northern Virginia.

He claimed that he was so tired from traveling that he almost fell asleep during the debate.

“I decided to travel around the world a couple of times . . . shortly before the debate,” Biden told the Democrat donors. “I didn’t listen to my staff . . . and then I almost fell asleep onstage.”

The President stressed to donors that he wasn’t making excuses for his debate disaster.

“It’s not an excuse but an explanation,” Biden added.

He said that he still felt good about his campaign and pointed out his fundraising received a boost after the debate.

But this excuse only raises more questions about the President’s fitness to hold office.

Biden traveled back to the United States 13 days before the debate after attending the G-7 Summit in Italy.

He went into a week of debate prep at Camp David where he reportedly started each day at 11:00 a.m. and was given time off in the afternoon for a nap.

The President isn’t capable of holding office if he’s still tired nearly two weeks after a trip to Europe.

Joe Biden continues with the excuses for his debate performance

The Biden campaign started throwing things against the wall hoping that something would stick for his dreadful debate appearance.

Biden continued to downplay his performance during his first major interview since the debate with ABC News host George Stephanopoulos.

“I was just having a bad night,” Biden said. “I was exhausted.”

The President denied that he had a lost step entering office.

“Do you dispute that there have been more lapses, especially in the last several months?” Stephanopoulos asked.

“Can I run the 100 in 10 flat? No. But I’m still in good shape,” Biden said.

Biden refused to take a cognitive test and make the results public in the interview.

The President and his inner circle have vowed that he’s staying in the race.

But nothing he’s said after the debate has calmed the fears of the public or a growing number of Democrats about his ability to do the job.

No excuse is going to change the fact that Joe Biden is 81 years old.

And nothing is going to erase from the minds of voters what they saw during the first Presidential debate.
